GRID Braehead Turns 20 — Join Our Free Noughties Party

Join us in celebrating our 20th birthday with a FREE, three-day noughties-inspired celebration!

Families are invited to GRID Braehead to party like it’s the 2000s, with throwback entertainment, creative activities and surprise giveaways marking a major milestone – two decades of leading entertainment and leisure!

We’re taking you straight back to the noughties with a packed programme of free activations designed to delight all ages. GRID Braehead’s 20th birthday celebration will include:

Live DJ & Surprise Giveaways

A live DJ will be spinning iconic noughties anthems throughout the weekend, creating the ultimate throwback atmosphere. Visitors should keep their ears open for a familiar sound – when the classic Nokia ringtone rings out, the first person to race to the DJ booth will win a voucher from one of GRID Braehead’s leisure or dining offerings.

Noughties Photo Fun

Reinforcing the Noughties theme and the rise of the selfie! Strike a pose at our 00s themed photo backdrop, complete with nostalgic props for the ultimate throwback snap.

Paint It Together, Community Art

Visitors can get creative by contributing to a large-scale community paint-by-numbers canvas, adding their own splash of colour to the birthday celebrations. Popular local artist, Cohen Art, will also be live-painting sections of the canvas, offering guests the chance to watch, chat and be inspired throughout the weekend.

Little Creatives Welcome

Younger visitors won’t miss out, with mini paint-by-numbers sheets and GRID flags available for kids to colour in, customise and take home as a memento of the celebrations!

Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity pop-up shop

Our valued charity partner, Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity will be joining in the fun with their very own gifting pop-up shop, selling a variety of charity merchandise, kids toys and balloons. Plus, a tombola will be on the go to win prizes!
